Biosis Pharmaceutical corporation was founded by Mr. William C. Woo and Mr. Percy L. Cruz. The company was engaged in the distribution of finished pharmaceutical formulation in the Philippines.

The company was granted by the bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) License to Operate (LTO) as Drug Trader, Importer and Distributor. BFAD initially approved 7 finished Products locally sourced and toll manufactured by Drugmakers Laboratories which include analgesics, vitamins, cough/colds preparations, anti-TB and antibiotics.

The company’s name was changed from Biosis Pharmceutical Inc. to Biosis Phamraceutical Philippines, Inc. It is in this year that the company formally established the raw materials division in order to cater to both local and multinational companies catering the Pharmaceutical Raw Ingredients requirements.

Mr. William C. Woo, the company President bought our the company and a new company was organized under the name Biosis Chemical Corporation whose incorporators and owners are the SGS Holdings, Inc. and Percy L. Cruz

The company expanded its vertical coverage into the veterinary market, and veterinary raw materials division was organized.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the change in corporate name from Biosis Chemical corporation to Hexagon Chemical Corporation. The new name signified that the company was under the umbrella of the Hexagon Group of Companies.

The company continued its expansion and ventured into food industry. Thus, the Food and Raw material division was organized
